The dog days of summer are here, so we’re looking ahead to the cooler weather of autumn and wondering where to race next. Here’s where I’d go race this fall – if only I could do them all! I am signed up for one, but I’ll let you guess which!

Chicago Marathon – October 8, 2017

One of the six World Marathon Majors, 2017 marks the 40###sup/sup### anniversary of this iconic race around the streets of Chicago. For those looking to take on the challenge of a full marathon, the Chicago Marathon is known for its flat, fast course, and the home of countless PRs! While you run through 29 different neighborhoods, you will experience the support of nearly 2 million spectators along the way! 


Kansas City Marathon – October 21, 2017

Kansas City’s largest and most exciting race will take runners throughout the city’s most beautiful neighborhoods and landmarks, most notably the World War I Memorial. Glukos is proud to be the on course nutrition for this year’s half marathon and marathon races! Longer distances aren’t your thing – not to worry! New to this year’s lineup is a 10K distance option. Marine Corps Marathon – October 22, 2017

Known as “The People’s Marathon”, the Marine Corps Marathon provides a scenic course starting and finishing in Arlington, Virginia running alongside our Nation’s most recognizable Monuments. Organized by the brave men and women of the United States Marine Corps, the Marine Corps Marathon is not only one of the largest marathons in the U.S., but also the largest marathon in the world that doesn’t offer prize money. This is a bucket list race for sure!


Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas –November 11-12, 2017

With race time starting when the sun goes down, surrounded by the lights of the Las Vegas Strip, this is definitely a can’t miss race! Not only do they shut the entire Las Vegas Strip down (this only happens twice a year!) but you also get to run alongside Elvis impersonators galore, or maybe you would like to take part in a run through wedding, you are guaranteed the experience of a lifetime! Boasting distances of 5K, half-marathon, and full marathon, there’s something for everyone!


Tucson Marathon – December 9, 2017

For those looking to escape the cold, Tucson boasts the best December weather in the U.S., with finish line temperatures reaching a beautiful 65-70 degrees. The half-marathon distance begins at the Biosphere 2, which is one of the world’s most unique facilities dedicated to research of global scientific issues and is also a controlled laboratory for scientific studies. A predominately downhill course, chances are you will walk away with a shiny new PR! Both half-marathon and marathon (USATF Certified and a Boston Qualifier!) distances are available.

Jenna was born and raised in sunny Arizona. Sports have been her livelihood and passion since a young age, and her hard work paid off when she received a Division I soccer scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University, where she completed her freshman and sophomore seasons. She decided to hang up her cleats and move back to the desert to complete her education at the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics. Discovering a serious passion for nutrition, she then went on to earn her Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) certification. Following her retirement from college sports, she has since found a way to channel all of her competitive energy – running and cycling! On any given weekend, you can find her running in a local half marathon or cycling around town. If she’s not racing, chances are she’s cooking, and has been known to whip up a mean dessert or two! In her position at Glukos she enjoys combining two of her biggest passions – nutrition and sports, while having the opportunity to help others to achieve their goals.
